 Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette

Ingredients

1 cup     Balsamic Vinegar

1 Tbsp    Garlic (chopped)

¼ cup     Thyme (fresh, pulled from stems)

2 Tbsp    Shallot (chopped)

1 Tbsp    Orange Blossom Honey

to taste  Salt and Pepper

2-3 cups  Olive Oil

 

 

 

Directions

In a blender combine Balsamic Vinegar, garlic, thyme, shallot, and honey. Blend on medium high speed and slowly drizzle in the olive oil using the small opening in the top of the lid. Once achieved desired consistency, season with salt and pepper. Chill before use.

 

 

* The key to a good emulsification is to slowly add the oil to the vinegar otherwise the vinaigrette will look too oily. To know when a good emulsification has been reached, the liquid will begin to slightly thicken.
