COOKING AT HOME

When you first begin to prepare quality cuisine at home, it may take more of your time because you will be buying fresh ingredients more often and not relying on convenience foods however, once you have gotten into the routine it will become quicker and easier for example, when you cook a whole salmon, save the leftovers for salad the next day; or when you roast a chicken, start a stockpot with the leftover portions try to think ahead when you are cooking so you use all ingredients to their maximum potential.

Choose fresh and organic seasonal vegetables and fruits, foods free from preservations, additives, hormones, antibiotics, and other unnecessary chemicals. When you shop for natural foods you will discover not only great taste, you will be supporting a healthier and safer environment.

 

HEALTHY COOKING CLASSES

Smile Catering hands-on cooking parties provide an interactive and fun activity for all you needs, we pride ourselves on teaching students how to cook from start to finish; not even an onion is peeled before we begin. A better sense of satisfaction and greater learning (and fun!) comes from creating a meal in its entirety. Larger, more formal schools will pre-prepare most of the meal and have you participate in cooking only a fraction of it; we do not.

Classes are approximately 2 ½ hours and are centered around the preparation of a complete meal.

 

MENUS

Creativity and suggestions are encouraged, although we have plenty of ideas if you need inspiration. Each student receives a recipe booklet at the beginning of the event.

 

LOCATION

Classes can be held in any home kitchen in Arizona, we are also happy to travel beyond the boroughs to teach, and traveling costs are based on your distance from phoenix. “IS MY KITCHEN BIG ENOUGH?” As long as you can put a cutting board down (in the kitchen or on the dining room table) you can comfortably learn to cook in your home kitchen.

For those without kitchen space for a large cooking party, smile catering will book a fully-equipped culinary studio for your event.
